Also known as Jenna Marbles, her internet pseudonym, Jenna Nicole Mourey is an American vlogger, actress, comedian and YouTube star. Her channel has achieved up to 2 billion views and 17 million subscribers on YouTube, as of June 2017. She has become 28th most subscribed YouTube channel and second most popular woman-operated channel. Marbles is the first YouTube star who has a wax statue in Madame Tussaud Museum, New York.
Born on September 15, 1986, Marbles was brought up in Rochester, New York where she graduated in 2004 from Brighton High School. Then, she moved to Boston to attend Suffolk University for higher studies. She achieved a Bachelor of Science in Psychology at Suffolk and later achieved Master of Education in Sport Psychology & Counseling at Boston University.
Initially, Marbles started her professional career with Barstool Sports where she wrote for StoolLaLa, their female counterpart site. In 2010 summer, Marbles was sharing 3BHK apartment located in Cambridge, Massachusetts. She paid $800 for apartment as rent by doing several jobs like working at a tanning salon, bartending, go-go dancing at nightclubs, and blogging.
In 2010, Marbles launched a video titled “How to Trick People Thinking You are Good Looking” viewed up to 5.3 million times within first week. Her video titled “How to avoid people You Don’t Like to talk to” featured by ABC News and The New York Times articles in August 2011. She stated in this video that she is sick and fed up of guys who assume that just because I danced at a bar or club, I won’t stop them touching her back. The video had achieved over 35 million views on April 2017.
She uploads a new video every Wednesday or Thursday on her YouTube channel. She is nicknamed as Jenna Marbles because her mother was used to complaint that Mourey pulled up just her videos on Google. Her mother was unemployed when her first video gone viral and was worried that its content might turn down the potential employers. She got the name “Marbles” from her dog named “Mr. Marbles”. Her YouTube channel had around 17.5 million subscribers as well as 2.5 billion views, as of September 2017.
Her YouTube videos are the way too shareable blend of sex appeal, comedy, social commentary, and puppies, with lots of profanity. She smartly juggles Twitter, Facebook, YouTube and Instagram to build an intense connection with her fans who easily relate to her videos.

In a “Wrecking Ball” themed segment, she played Miley Cyrus in YouTube Rewind 2013. In Smosh: The Movie, she appeared as herself. Her business affairs have been professionalized by expanding and bringing in more people to help like her mother, a business manager, and a personal assistant.
Marbles also released a dog toy brand “Kermie Worm & Mr. Marbles”. The look of the toys is based on her real dogs. She has also created items with som memorable quotes on them. She also hosts a pop countdown “YouTube 15” every week on SiriusXM Hits 1. She became Maximum Ride’s executive producer in 2016, a film which was based on a novel series of same name written by James Patterson.
She also performs weekly podcast with Julien Solomita, who is her boyfriend, named “The Jenna and Julien Podcast”. The podcast is based on topics which focus on things like conspiracy theories, stories growing up, YouTubers and various common topics.
